For ten years, Leslie served as editor for SEDL Letter (formerly SEDLetter), the magazine for the Southwest Educational Development Laboratory. The magazine had a circulation of 90,000 and was written to summarize research conducted by SEDL staff members and to share best practices with educators in the seven states served by the lab. Here are a few issues. Volume XIV, No. 3 won an award from the Education Writers Association; Volume XVII, No. 1, received the Platinum MarCom Award.
